I was very nervous about my son going to a school in Iowa (we're from a much more metropolitan area), but I am very impressed by West Lyon. He is in PreK, and his classroom is remarkably "up to date". His teacher, Mrs. Parr, is fantastic. He loves going to school (he's always hated daycare), and she's done well to help him adjust, make friends, and love learning. The activities they've done, even for just PreK, have been so beneficial and educational for him. The staff is friendly, and the school has great playgrounds, a decent library, and a wonderful community.
